Position Description Designing and architecting websites developed in asp.net, java and other web methodologies and maintaining the current enterprise system. Finding ways to optimize the enterprise sites and resolving day to day issues. Interacting with the business to understand the requirements and taking a lead in implementing them. Coordinating the development process with the project managers, information architects and web designers to deliver a product which meets the clients* needs and specifications. * Converting user requirements into technical specifications for new projects. * Designing database structures and methods that reflect the needs of the clients* applications. * Analyzing business requirements and building business logic components as well as other middle-ware necessary to implement multi-tiered web applications. * Integrating the database, business and client-facing tiers of the web applications. * Coordinating with creative teams information architects and project managers to implement the final work product (fully functional web applications). * Looking for problems, suggesting improvements and implementing them whenever given approval. * Insuring that the final work product meets all client requirements and wireframe specifications as well as Avenue-E design philosophy. * Following the guidance and counsel of the chief developer in matters of design conflict and best practices. * Interacting with QA to eliminate functional and logical errors during the testing phase. * Releasing the final work product to clients* servers and making sure that it functions correctly in foreign environments. * Interacting with the clients* in-house IT and development personnel to insure proper web-site operation. A.S.K. (Ability/Skills/Knowledge): * 5+ years of ASP.net 1.1 and basic understanding of 2.0 * Basic understanding and experience with older web development languages and platforms (VB COM & VBScript). * 4+ years of Java and JSP development. * SQL Server 2000 and basic knowledge of SQL Server 2005 * Basic knowledge of Oracle 9i, XE and PL/SQL * SQL Server and Oracle Stored Procedures, triggers, UDFs etc. * Thoroughness and an eye for detail; * Creativity and ability to learn quickly; * Integrity, courtesy and professionalism; * Comprehensive understanding of quality practices and procedures
