Mexican 7 Layered Bean Dip

Description: Makes 1 tray serves 10 people. Must have for parties.
 
 
Ingredients:

1 can refried beans

1 small pack Hot Taco Seasoning

6oz Sour Cream

8 oz. Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese (remove from refrigerator 2 hrs before making)

16 Oz Hot Chunky Salsa

2 cups Guacamole

1 pack Shredded Monterey Cheese and Cheddar or Shredded Taco Cheese (Mexican Mix)

1 cup Sliced Green or Black Olives

2 cups shredded Romaine Lettuce

2 cups finely chopped Tomatoes

1 cup sliced Jalapeno Peppers

2 cups shredded Carrots

2 cups Scallions (Green Onion/ Spring Onions)


 

 
Preparation:

1. Mix refried beans with taco seasoning in a pan and warm on medium flame. Add half cup hot salsa and mix well. After heated, spread in the tray. Let it cool to room temperature.

Meanwhile,

2. Whisk Sour Cream, Cream Cheese into a smooth paste without any lumps. Add the remainder of the salsa bottle in to this. Mix well and spread over the refried bean layer.

3. Add a layer of Guacamole

4. Make a thin layer of lettuce

5. Make a thin layer of tomatoes, carrots, olives, jalapeno peppers and cheese.

6. Put in refrigerator for 2 hours and serve chilled with Tortilla chips or wrapped in soft tortillas.
