Get the best fruit you can- ripe, attractive, organic and in season.if you've been a big sweet eater, you may not even taste sweet at first.
Stay with it.In less than a month your mouth will water for sliced mangoes, orange wedges and berried.
This doesnt mean you'll neer ever have a fancier dessert.Special ocassions are for doing things that you dont routinely do and eating things you dont routinely eat.
Even at those times, if possible, stick with a fruit based dessert that gets it sweetness from dried fruit or honey.
