Naseeruddin Shah's directorial debut interweaves stories of four friends and their desire to go to US around the time when September 11 happened. The film is from a very general perspective but definitely gives an insight into how the apocalypse changed lives of thousands forever.

World Trade Center

The Oliver Stone flick that dramatizes the events of 9/11 from a firefighter's perspective. Based on the true story of Port Authority police officers John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno, The film revolves around their heroic actions. Amidst all drama, heavy weight name and stellar cast, the film fell flat and could not evoke reactions.

United 93

Of the four aircrafts hijacked on September 11, United Airlines Flight 93 was the only aircraft that failed to reach its intended target. The reason: heroic actions of its passengers. It later crashed in Pennsylvania, killing all on board. This brilliantly made film was called a nerve wrecker, simply because of it was too close to reality.

9/11 was a tragedy that shook world's largest democracy from its slumber and sent shock waves across globe. Zillions in every part of the world were hooked on to televisions, radios, Internet to witness one of the most apocalyptic events in recent times. Some tried to catch it on their cameras, others made movies and soon every possible media was out showcasing the 'real' attack on Twin Towers. It has been seven years hence, but for many Americans the memories of planes crashing into world's tallest buildings right at office rush hour is still as fresh.

There has been many works by way of movies which have tried to capture the tragedy. They say films are an interpretation of life, and like many these few movies have captured the emotion and logic really well.
