Take Care Of Your Skin This Summer

Summer is finally setting in. Sun's high pretty early in the morning and nothing feels as refreshing as that morning breeze. But summer also means sitting in air conditioned rooms, allowing it to suck all moisture from the skin. With the tips listed below, you'll not only feel as fresh as ever but also leave your skin pampered.

1. Before you apply any cream, spray rose water on your skin. Also Keep glycerin and rose water handy. Spray them on your skin from time to time even while make up to keep moisture levels intact.

2. If your skin is too dry, don’t use too much of soap to wash your face as soap snatches moisture from your skin, but do give your skin regular splashes of water.

3. Drink lots n lots of water. If your water intake is about 5-6 glasses of water then increase it up to 10-12 glasses of water in summer as water content gets reduce due to sweating.

4. Avoid going in the sun as much as you can, and when you are out in the sun make sure that you have applied sunscreen with SPF of 15 minimum. Use hats ,caps, umbrella to protect yourself from sun. Wear full sleeve shirt if possible.

5. Cleanliness is important. Dust particles get stuck in the pores of the skin, so clean your face thoroughly before applying makeup.

6. In summer, there is more of oil secretion, so wash your face 3-4 times a day with cold water.

7. If you go for a walk, then first cool down and then splash cold water.

8. Apply ice packs on face, it reduces sweating to a larger extent.

9. Don't use scrubs daily it makes your skin dry. Home made face packs with tomato and lemon takes out excess oil and black heads. If your skin is carrying pimples or rashes then don't use lemon.

10. Toning helps to tone and refresh the skin and help to add a finishing touch to the process of cleansing as it removes all cream and greasy residue.

11.Nourish your face with soothing masks made of soft fruit mixed with cream or yogurt . The best fruits are well-ripened bananas or strawberries. Cover your eyes with cucumber slices, apply the mask, put your feet up, and use this time to rest or meditate. Nothing else will better rejuvenate the freshness and healthy glow of your face! Daily home care home made face packs prepared with yogurt, honey and egg is very effective on the dead cells. A cooling Masque made out of 4 tbsp ripe mashed papaya pulp, ½ tsp pure honey and a squeeze of lemon when mixed together and left on face for at least 10 minutes before being washed off with cold water with revitalize your skin.

12. Brew the flowers of camomile or calendula, freeze the “tea”, and use the ice cubes to wake up your skin in the morning. These soothing herbs contain natural ingredients that moisturize and soften your skin better than any commercial products.

13. Mix extra-virgin coconut oil with a couple of drops of essential oils of carrot seed and sweet orange. This fragrant, rich and creamy balm has antioxidant and emollient properties. While you sleep, it will slowly penetrate your face skin to restore its vital moisture and beauty.

Remember to take care of your skin when young and make it a habit. You will benefit from it later in the future. Always moisturize; don’t skimp simply because you’re too tired or too lazy.
